Dan Stoner: President, Two Ton Creativity San Francisco
Dan is the head of our San Francisco office. Consistent with our philosophy of creative first, Dan is a former Creative Director at Arnold Worldwide where he worked on accounts such as ExxonMobil, DeWalt Tools and McDonald’s, among others.
In 2000, Dan left the agency world to found GARAGE magazine. After 6 years developing a reputation as the genre’s premier source for automotive trends, culture and style, Dan sold GARAGE to Jesse James of Monster Garage and West Coast Choppers fame. Under Dan and Jesse’s direction, GARAGE continued to expand and evolve.
In 2009, Dan left GARAGE to form The Autoculture Foundation www.autoculture.org. Dedicated to purveying all things auto culture related, Dan has developed a site and blog. In 2010, he partnered with Morris Pittle at Two Ton Creativity to evolve the Foundation into a full-fledged media company with plans to launch a print vehicle to be known as Autocult, as well as several media projects including documentaries, books and features.
He has partnered with Two Ton Creativity to open an office in San Francisco to not only work with Autoculture and its clients, but to apply the Two Ton Creativity philosophies of cultural marketing in the Bay Area.
Dan is married and has 7 cars. There’s no doubt however, which holds his heart.
